It's even better when a game is kinda vague and you're half blinded without foreknowledge, and so in like Witcher 3 it becomes a debate to this day whether to free the evil spirit to save the children from the Crones or not, and so you have to act without perfect knowledge or awareness of how badly your actions impact the world later down the line-the choices that actually matter Like, it's not "shooting your companion for the lulz" kind of cartoonish villainy, more it's the kind of sadistic betrayal and psychopathic cruelty that hurts your soul kind of thing. It is a true successor to Planescape, and so the actual limits to cruelty are way more awful than in most other games. jesus Oh yeah, I keep forgetting this game can let you be pretty evil. Lmao you can sell rhin as a slave to be murdered. I just did this mere (in the water bubble thing), and I got an extra screen seeing two castoffs, mazzof one of them, because I asked the watcher guy the right question. I so love that this game has SO MUCH hidden content! but it's so frustrating to miss it anyway. I think they're useless, but I'm stuck with them until the end of the game "just in case" The cultist ramblings, and the abhumans book. There's also only 2 things so far that are tagged as "items" the game is super misleading in making me believe I can, after reading, sell all the things tagged as "oddities". Some of them can be used as part of other puzzles, too, like the Chromavulum (the starfish eyepatch thing from the Anechoic Lazaret). The main reason oddities are in the game is for flavour and to sell, but if you don't read the flavour, you won't know if they have any other value. But if all the other ways you can use a thing are gone, or if your character just doesn't feel like going to the trouble, you can always sell them. Not sure.
